A nice post here from Terry Freedman, the gist of which is:
What about breaking from the normal routine and doing something a bit different, Terry has a few ideas including:
- You abandoned your scheme of work for one lesson and instead asked the pupils to come up with a way of using technology to make supermarket shopping more pleasant?
- Taught ICT in a room with no technology in it at all, for one lesson a week for a month?
- Used this list as a starting point for your next team meeting?
I think it’s all about taking a risk and gaining experience, why not have a go?
PS One of the ideas was to do with NOT using a whiteboard for one day – it made me think that Terry is used to seeing interactive teaching in most lessons and that it would be unusual to see one NOT being used.
