100Mb Broadband

Virgin Media are planning to begin their roll out of 100Mb/sec broadband and are hoping to have 13 million homes connected by the middle of 2012.  The service will offer a 10Mb upload as well making hosting a domestic website a real possibility.

There is (of course) good news and bad news …

Bad news is that the initial offer to 200,000 homes will be in West Yorkshire, North London, Surrey and Essex only.

The Good news is that the cost will be £45 per month (or £35 if bundled with other services).
