Well OK – not just paper but ink cartridges, toner, reprographics and the staff to run all of this is a massive bill for most schools.
This article from Microsoft details how West Hatch High School has gone a little further than most. Their example seems fairly complex when there are loads of ‘quick hits’ that could be achieved.
What about having year group blogs. Then ask parents to subscribe to the blog rather than send letters home. Run a few parents evenings to show them how to do it, even back up with paper copies where requested (for the first year or so). You can then incorporate links to newsletters and even reports quite easily.
How much would that save?
