How ‘Good’ Is ICT In Schools?

I think that this a question of real significance and urgency.

There has been a fall of 33% in the numbers of pupils taking ICT at GCSE level (in the last 3 years) – and it’s still ‘compulsory’!  Clearly there is a ‘message’ here.

The Royal Society has commissioned an investigation into the problem because of the danger to the economic prospects of the UK – and I agree that it really is that serious.
