I was talking to a friend of many years today. I first met Andy Hutt sometime around 1990, this was after the BBC micro but before the World Wide Web. Recently he gave the key note address at the ICT Conference at UWE in Bristol and today it was the turn of the Wiltshire Council conference at the Corn Exchange in Devizes. Andy didn’t disappoint – an excellent talk that everyone found thoroughly motivating.
The theme of the talk was a quick tour through a range of small practical things that a teacher could do tomorrow to engage and inspire learners.
It was somehow fitting that Andy was just showing us how to take a video on a mobile phone and have it streamed ‘live’ to the web using Bambuser when the fire alarm went off. The result was that the whole event was filmed as it happened and uploaded to the web
A lot of the stuff Andy talked out will appear here in the next few days.
