Compare broadband costs?

You’d probably think that a technology like broadband would cost a similar amount to implement where ever you implement it (if you disregard ’line’ costs)?

If you compare cost per Mbit then the interesting fact is that Japan costs 11p against the UK at £1.81. To make things worse Japan has 100Mbit and ’same speed both ways’ networks. Seems like a bit of a difference!

The least expensive monthly subscription for always-on broadband was in Sweden, where £5.40 per month bought a 256kbps connection.
